The Challenge
A major cinema chain with 25 multiplexes across the UK, ranging from 800 to 3,500 seat capacity, needed to develop SSPs for all Enhanced Tier venues. Each site had unique architectural layouts, local threat profiles, and staffing structures. The challenge was creating a scalable SSP framework that could be customised for each venue while maintaining consistent standards and enabling centralised oversight.
Our Solution
Developed a modular SSP framework with core protocols applicable across all sites and customisable elements for local requirements. This included standardised threat assessment methodology adapted for each location, screen-by-screen evacuation procedures accounting for accessibility, low-light environment protocols unique to cinema operations, staff training programmes deliverable via e-learning and in-person sessions, integration with film distributors for premiere and high-profile screening security, and centralised incident reporting and monitoring systems.
Results Achieved
"Rolling out Martyn's Law compliance across 25 sites could have been a nightmare. Maxi Global Security's scalable approach meant we achieved consistency without losing local relevance. The e-learning platform they developed means we can maintain training standards as staff turnover occurs."
